pPremiere Dance Company
Premiere Dance Co. is the competitive division of Chrissy’s Dance Academy.
qQualifications
All members must be currently enrolled in Tap, Ballet, and Jazz classes at Chrissy’s Dance Academy.
All company members must have auditioned in front of an unbiased panel of judges to become a member in one of the groups.
They are divided as follows:
- Junior Company: ages 6-8 years old.
- Intermediate Company: ages 9-11 years old.
- Senior Company: ages 12-16 years old.
rRequirements
All members must attend all competitions and workshops on the agenda, this includes the Nationals Competition chosen that year. In addition to the dancers required core classes, they must attend a weekly company class where they learn the routines they will be competing with. This will be 2 routines one in Tap and one in Jazz. All members must attend an extra hour of technique this week. This will help in technique, form, and overall presence of the dancer.
To maintain the competitive integrity of Premiere Dance Co., we cannot allow an individual to be taught at different studios. The competitive work involves total commitment and dual studio instruction, under these circumstances, shows a direct conflict of interest for each studio involved.
rPractices
All Company rehearsals are mandatory. All extra practices are mandatory however, they will be at no additional charge to you. Competitions & National Finals and all all conventions and competitions are mandatory. This includes the National Finals. If you know you cannot attend even one of the competitions listed, including the National Finals do not audition.
