Bridgette has spent most of her entire life involved in the performing arts. At the age of three, she began her training in tap, ballet, jazz and tumbling. Over the next 15 years, her repertoire expanded to include clogging, pointe, modern, conservative and Broadway training under many well-respected instructors from all three coasts of the country. As a member of numerous dance troupes, Bridgette has had the honor of being awarded a myriad of high scoring titles within the categories of group, duet and solo performances throughout the decade she was involved in competitive dancing.
Shortly after graduating from high school, Bridgette went on to pursue her dream of becoming a killer whale trainer at SeaWorld San Antonio. After obtaining a much-coveted position as an apprentice trainer at Shamu Stadium after only her first try-out, she found her extensive background in dance training helped her become a standout performer both in and out of the water quickly. Before long, she was performing in supporting roles in many of the park’s marine mammal shows as an animal trainer, working with killer whales, dolphins, beluga whales and sea lions to name a few.
For the final seven years of her career at SeaWorld, Bridgette was once again performing alongside the killer whales at Shamu Theater. As a senior trainer, she became accomplished at all levels of waterwork performances with the killer whales and was an established performer, frequently featured in lead roles of Believe, Shamu’s Christmas Miracles, Shamu Rocks Texas and Shamu’s Rockin’ Creep Show to name a few. After ten years of caring for and performing with the animals of SeaWorld, Bridgette made the decision to retire as a senior killer whale trainer to pursue opportunities to achieve even more of her life’s dreams.
Bridgette has her Associate of the Arts in Psychology and is currently working towards finishing the final hours of coursework necessary to complete her BA in Psychology, with an emphasis on adolescent psychology and behavior modification.Back
