Christa Poole
Christa Poole has been dancing since the age of 3 and teaching professionally for over 18 years. Born in Louisville, KY, she was classically trained at Rose Marie’s Dance Studio, Art Art Barking Dog Modern Dance Company, as well as the Louisville Ballet. In her varied career, Christa has studied most forms of dance including: ballet, lyrical, modern, tap, jazz, and clogging.
Christa is happiest knowing that she can pass on her love and enthusiasm for the art of dance through teaching. Her joy in teaching dance is to be able to make children happy and give them a sense of accomplishment. She has taught all levels from beginners to advanced, including adults, and her choreography won several top regional awards. Christa coached Jeffersontown High School dance team in Louisville, where her team placed top 5 American Spirit Championships (ASC) Nationals.
In 2009 she won both Top Choreography and Top Soloist at Louisville Talent on Parade. Most recently, her choreography won top honors at Dance Excellence in Los Angeles, CA. Christa is also a certified Pilates instructor in the Physical Mind Method, focusing on strength and flexibility. She has even owned and operated her own studio! When she’s not dancing, Christa enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, Matt, and her ’babycat’, Rio Bella.
