Melinda Kunz is originally a California native who grew up studying dance in San Luis Obispo, California. Melinda attended Brigham Young University in Utah where she received a degree in Broadcast Communications with a minor degree in Dance. While at BYU, Melinda performed with the company, Dancensemble, and took numerous courses in dance, including her favorite, Children's Dance Methodology. This is where she discovered her love of teaching young children in fun and creative ways. After taking the course, she was invited by the instructor to continue teaching with the university's children's program. Upon graduation, Melinda performed with Deseret Dance Company and taught ballet, jazz, tap and tumbling for the Academy of Ballet in Utah Valley. Most recently, Melinda spent four years teaching children's classes in the Kansas City area. When she's nto teaching, Melinda is a stay at home mom to her three children, Amber, Kaitlin, and Christian.
