Chrissy O’Donnal began dancing at the age of 3. At the age of 8, she started dancing competitively and quickly fell in love with the stage. Chrissy continued dancing competitively until the age of 16 when she was able to dance with the John Marshall High School Dance Team. She served as a Captain her Senior Year and traveled to Los Angeles with her team performing at DisneyLand.
She continued to dance and perform through college where she received a Bachelors of Science in Dance with Teacher Certification from Texas State University in 2003. She was invited to perform in a Christmas Show with the San Antonio Symphony with many friends and colleagues. Chrissy also had the opportunity to perform as a back up dancer with Tejano singer, Stefani Montiel. This led her to many exciting performances including the Tejano Music Awards. She was also invited to travel with the band to Las Vegas and South Padre Island.
Chrissy knew it was her time to make her dream come true in 2004. At the age of 23, Chrissy opened the doors to Chrissy’s Dance Academy. The Academy is about to start their 15th Year and has continued to hold both recreational and competitive programs. They have continued to win top awards, many national championships, and have been voted Best Dance Studio 10 Times by the Helotes Community.
