There will be no refunds for any reason. There will be no reduced tuition for any reason

ctClass Time

It is very important to the students that they are on time to class. Attendance is taken at the beginning of class. The first portion of every class is spent warming up the required muscles that are used in class. Being late could result in injury. Students should arrive about 5 minutes prior to class beginning. After class, all students are required to wait inside the lobby area for parent pick-up. This is for the student’s safety. It is imperative that you discuss this with your child. There is an employee working in the office, but we have no responsibility for dancers after their class time.

All students should be picked up immediately after class.

Siblings and other small children must be under the supervision of an adult. No children other than those in class can be left at anytime.

Dance Team Prep: Jazz pants, booty shorts, or sweat pants with tank tops are the most popular choices. No jeans allowed. Jazz shoes are encouraged. Teacher may specify another shoe.
Specialty Classes & Senior Classes: Each teacher will have their own dress code. Please arrive to your first class prepared to dance. You will receive specific instructions on your first class.

Dance shoes are to be worn in the studio only.
They are NOT to be worn outside.

mcMake-up Classes

If a student misses a class, they must contact the front office for available times to make up the missed class. Make-up classes must be done in the same level that the student is already enrolled in. After Christmas Break, it can be difficult to do a make-up class. Recital routines and choreography are started in January. Each class has a different dance, song, and choreography. Doing a different class, can cause confusion to younger dancers.

poParent Observation

Parents can observe class through our viewing windows or on one of the televisions in the lobby.

Pre-school classes are allowed to have 1 parent in the class for the first 2 classes of the year only.

This will help get our smallest dancers used to their new space.

After these first 2 weeks, the doors will remain closed and all parents will be asked to stay outside of the classroom.

An annual recital will take place in late June each year. As stated earlier, there will be a $50 Recital Fee. This covers the cost of the facility.

Each costume can range $50-$100 each.

Tickets will not be sold. This allows you to invite as many guests as you like to watch your child perform.

Recital participation is not mandatory. However, this is the time for your child to showcase their talent. Performance builds self-esteem and confidence.

Please see Vacation Day Calendar for exact days.

Chrissy’s Dance Academy resides in the Northside Independent School District.

We follow all NISD bad weather school closures.

This does not mean that we take all their holidays.

There is no reduced tuition for vacation, holidays, or school closures. However, August is pro-rated for the number of weeks of dance in that month. We take Summer Vacation from after Recital to Registration for the next year.

Summer Sessions or Summer Camps may be provided for enrollment.

pPremiere Dance Co

Premiere Dance Company is the competitive division of Chrissy’s Dance Academy. Students must audition to become a member. Members audition in front of a panel of judges. Members are selected according to their score at these auditions. Auditions are held each year in September.

Due to the competitive nature of this division, dual enrollment at more than one studio is not allowed.

Please request a Company Guidelines Packet for more information.
